A renovation and expansion of a specialized school serving students with visual and hearing impairments — a facility type with deeply specific design and construction requirements. Tactile wayfinding systems, acoustic performance optimized for hearing aid users, visual contrast requirements for the visually impaired, and careful phasing to protect a vulnerable student population during construction all shaped every decision on this project.
