Home Safe. Every Person. Every Day.
Since our founding, every person who has come to work on an AREA Construction site has gone home safely. That record is not a statistic we track. It is the standard we build everything around.
We believe every injury is preventable. That belief is not a policy statement — it is the lens through which we plan every project, hire every person, and make every decision on site. Risk is identified before work begins, not after something goes wrong.
Safety at AREA is not the job of one person or one department. Every principal, project manager, superintendent, and tradesperson on our sites is equally responsible for the environment around them. We speak up, we intervene early, and we never let schedule pressure override a safety concern.
Our in-house Environmental Health and Safety program is built on the understanding that behaviour drives outcomes. We invest in continuous training, open communication, and coaching at every level so that safe habits are second nature — not reminders on a wall.
We are certified by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association and hold the National COR Standard — benchmarks we meet not because they are required, but because our people deserve nothing less. We comply fully with all jurisdictional requirements and consistently exceed them.
AREA Construction is a proud member of the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA) — Ontario's premier construction safety authority. Our COR certification is independently audited and meets the National COR Standard.
